The Moscow Region Business Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev along with  the Moscow Region Deputy Prosecutor Andrey Ganin held a joint workshop with entrepreneurs last Friday in urban district Pushkino. Seven businessmen applied for support of their rights and legal interests they consider violated.

Most of the presented complaints relate to business illegal criminal prosecution or the police unexplained refusal to initiate criminal proceedings.

-an illegal criminal prosecution of business is the cost of the modern system today.    The entrepreneur does not have to be the one fraud to be charged when requiring legal contract payment from government entity. Quite often the criminal judicial mechanism is being used as a leverage point in civil law dispute. It practically destroys a long-term work of the entrepreneur therefore, as it is in the case of one's claimant - pointed out Vladimir Golovnev.

    According to Boris Titov, the Federal Business Ombudsman, the number of criminal cases is growing every year, but only one tenth of businessmen being prosecuted proved to be a real fraud by court decision. The fate of the rest is rather sad in most cases anyway.  Therefore, the support of the regional Prosecutor's office is very important to minimize negative impact on regional business. All requests will be reviewed and checked properly if any procuratorial measures need to be implemented on time. All the cases still remain under Commissioner's control until the end of the process.
