The Moscow Region Business Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev supported the initiative to develop additional rules governing the rights of legal entities in criminal proceedings.
There is a need for changes in the criminal procedure legislation. We are talking about the revision of a number of provisions concerning the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs in the course of criminal proceedings.

That was the main topic devoted to the meeting of the Public Council under the Commissioner for the Protection of the Entrepreneur's Rights in the Moscow Region, held on October 26th of 2020 by videoconference. The event was attended by leaders of Moscow Region business associations, heads of public receptions of the Business Ombudsman, human rights activists and lawyers, as well as representatives of public organizations of the Moscow Region.
So, according to the Commissioner for the Protection of the Entrepreneur's Rights in the Moscow Region Vladimir Golovnev, every fifth appeal submitted for consideration this year, is associated with a violation of business rights by law enforcement agencies.
