The rating of the most effective measures that have a serious impact on reducing corruption was compiled according to the results of a survey of the business community of the region. 

The survey was conducted on the initiative of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region, Vladimir Golovnev.

According to the results of the study, the most effective and already existing measures to combat corruption are: criminal liability and the transfer of services provided by authorities to an electronic format. Closes the top three of the rating – increasing the transparency of the activities of officials.

Among other effective actions that can overcome corruption, entrepreneurs named - control over the income and expenses of officials and their families, extensive media coverage of corruption facts, rotation of officials and propaganda of intolerance to corruption manifestations.

More than 400 entrepreneurs from 40 municipalities of the Moscow Region took part in the survey.

- The survey showed that in 2022, the level of confidence of entrepreneurs in the activities of supervisory structures and local self-government bodies has significantly increased. First of all, this speaks about a risk-oriented approach that really works in the Moscow Region and the translation of many services into digital support- concluded the Moscow Business Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev.
