More than 300 disputes of entrepreneurs were settled in 2023 by the regional Mediation Center.
The Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region Vladimir Golovnev summed up the work for 2023.
A special place in the report was given to the work of the Mediation Center of the Moscow Region. The Center, established 5 years ago on the initiative of the Regional Business Ombudsman, successfully implements conciliation procedures, engages in legal education, provides advice and comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in the region.
Mediation is an effective form of pre-trial dispute resolution in difficult situations. All issues related to disputes of business entities, that are not within the competence of the Business Ombudsman, are sent to the Center. In the urban districts of Krasnogorsk, Yegoryevsk, Reutov, Leninsky, Volokolamsk, Lotoshino, Shakhovskaya and Elektrostal, trilateral cooperation agreements were signed between the administration and the head of the public reception of the Business Ombudsman.
- During 2023, the Moscow regional Mediation Center considered 313 disputes of entrepreneurs, 90% of them were settled in a pre-trial manner with a positive result for each party - said the head of the regional Mediation Center Maria Svetlova.
A good example is a resolved dispute that arose between two entrepreneurs running a joint business. Land was registered for one of them, the other equipped the base, bought goods, and was engaged in accounting. The owner of the land plot demanded that his partner leave the territory. It was obvious that the trial would paralyze the business activities of both entities. The parties sat down at the negotiating table, and within two weeks a mutually beneficial agreement was signed between them. At the same time, they subsequently became investors in the business without registration of ownership, but only with the distribution of profits.
- The Moscow Region is a rapidly developing region, the number of entrepreneurs is constantly increasing. The Mediation Center enhances the culture of constructive dispute resolution, helps entrepreneurs maintain partnerships and business, thereby improving the economy of the region - said Vladimir Golovnev, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region.
In total, 2 744 disputes have been considered over the entire period of the Moscow Region Mediation Center's existence.
