A public discussion over law-enforcement practices of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Moscow region took place on 27 June in the administration of Krasnogorsk urban district. The first semi-annual report was submitted on the conference.

The event was held under deputy minister Vadim Vorontsov chairmanship. Members of Inter-district Environmental Prosecutor’s Office of Moscow region, the federal executive authorities, public associations, businessmen and representatives of legal entities as well as the Moscow Regional Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev’s spokeswoman participated in this activity.

   During the monitoring and oversight reports officials from the Ministry provided the data of activities and steps undertaken. It is worth noting the caution requirement increasing amount as a responding measure. The Ministry representatives indicated that the administrative penalties are  given in forms of warnings to small and medium-sized businesses rather regularly lately.

   Among other concerns that  have been raised  at the meeting , the issue  of borehole licensing and its condition  just like the Moscow region Waste Register and public control in environmental management should have been settled by designated authorities.
