A multisectoral production facility with an excellent worldwide reputation was visited recently by the Moscow Region Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev. And for this purpose he was accompanied by the 3M chief engineer Sergey Gajduchenko, the CEO of Commerce and Industry Chamber Igor Kuimov, the urban deputy chief Ivan Abramov and head of the public reception Fedor Stepanov. As they all have seen, the scientific research may come inevitably to life in the Moscow region.

The history of the “3M” plant in Volokolamsk district began in 2008 with a new launch of protective respirators. The total output has increased fivefold since then, so as the achieved approximately 200 specialists. Also, the list of entire items produced has expanded considerably. Special anticorrosive coatings are produced on the plant today, that are highly effective in such oil and gas industry projects of Russian Federation as “Goluboy potok”, BTS, “Sahalin-1” and “Sahalin-2”, Kenkijak-Atirau, Nord Stream”, VSTO, Atasu-Alachankoj. Not only inhalation protective equipment, but the goods of car and household or office industry are produced on the “3M” plant.

-More over 10 years our plant has been existing and has shown itself to be quite dynamic and progressive. It is mostly focused on business items production -Sergey Gajduchenko stated.  Scientific and research activities accept particular emphasis of plant management, as the chief engineer Sergey Gajduchenko had noted. Three licensed labs were based on local resources for their own new products development being undertaking as well as innovative solutions to advance in the light of Russian market specificity.

The Moscow Region Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev pointed out that the replication of successful initiatives and experiences is one of the challenges we faced. This is a perfect example of a socially responsible business approach, when administration carrying on with its own employees for upgrading and proper  wages to be provided. Also it creates new jobs and expands production with a new lines, let alone financial means, including taxes payment. The regional authorities welcome a lot such industrial complex and are making some efforts to deal with any kind of concerns. This plant is not only the district pride but also means a lot for the industrial sector - Vladimir Golovnev had noted.

The administration encourages progress, so the localization of finished product elements is progressing as well as promotion of domestic raw materials suppliers.

In 2015 the plant had begun regular export supply of inhalation protective equipment to the European Union countries. And the further range extension is scheduled for export.
