A training workshop was held for the heads and staff of Moscow Region Business Ombudsman's public receptions in municipalities. This event took place in Moscow Region Commissioner's for the Protection of the Entrepreneur's reception and was focused on implementation of alternative conflict resolution - through mediation. The meeting was organized by the initiative of the Moscow Region Business Ombudsman Vladimir Golovnev with the participation of the head of Moscow Region Mediation Center Mariya Svetlova. Thus, participants could review with theoretical aspects of resolving conflict situations through interactive discussion. The opportunity to practice various techniques and legal mediation instruments, used in the dispute's settlement, were also available.
"Why is it important to hold this event? To do either businessmen or people know well the mediation's opportunities and applications" - commented Mariya Svetlova. We have already held two training courses last year in Krasnogorsk and Egoryevsk urban districts, and the largest one was held in Moscow Region Government House. We intend to continue our education program this year, so up to 20 events are scheduled in many districts of Moscow Region so far.
It is worth noting, that this expansion of mediation project through the region, based on the tripartite agreement signed on 23 September 2019. One of its purposes is cooperation at all levels between Moscow Region Advocates Chamber, the Moscow Region Department of Ministry of Justice and Moscow Region Business Ombudsman.
" In addition to theory, my mission is to demonstrate the way mediation works through conflict management. The most difficult thing is the ability to work with conflict in the light of psychology for further dispute's transformation to constructive dialogue as well"- explained the coach-mediator Sergey Havansky.
The training participants studied psychologycal and legal mediation's aspects in a playful way and observed its importance in future work.
"My goal is to explain the theory and to show how mediation works. Because the most difficult issues are the capacity to settle a conflict, understanding psychology and ongoing processes which contribute to the transformation of the dispute into a constructive dialogue, " said Sergey Khavansky, a mediator coach.
In a playful way, the heads and the specialists of the public reception offices of the Commissioner learned the psychological and legal aspects of mediation. The participators of the training noticed that this knowledge will be handy in future.
"It was important for me to understand the basic principles of mediation. Where I should start, how to behave properly. For myself, I have determined that the main thing is to give both sides an opportunity to speak out and to make an effort to hear each other. It will be the only way to overcome the deadlock and make a dialogue, " said Alexander Terentyev, the head of the reception in the Dmitrov city district.
"Entrepreneurs should use all possible mechanisms to protect their rights, including meditation. Lengthy court proceedings can be replaced by pre-trial conflict resolution procedures. I have noted a number of important points that should be applied in my practice, " added Alexey Shashkin. the head of the public reception in Solnechnogorsky district. He also said that if such appeals are received they will certainly make an effort to help.
And we are going to help everyone who asked for assistance at our reception!"
