Two entrepreneurs from the Moscow Region were softened the measure of restraint.
After the intervention of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region Vladimir Golovnev, the detention was replaced by a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.
Lawyers of heads of commercial organizations, against whom a criminal case was initiated this year on the grounds of a crime provided for in part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group of persons or on a particularly large scale), appealed to the Moscow Business Ombudsman.
The object of the incriminated crime was money that was in commercial circulation of organizations whose general directors were accused.
As follows from the materials of the criminal case, there was a civil dispute between the entrepreneurs on the payment of debts, which developed into the criminal legal sphere.
Having considered the arguments of the defenders of entrepreneurs and the provisions of the legislation, the Commissioner sent letters to the prosecutor of the Moscow Region with a request to change the measure of restraint for the accused to a milder one.
The preventive measure chosen by entrepreneurs in the form of detention has been changed to a subscription not to leave and their proper behavior.
