In 2023 residents of the Moscow Region issued consumer loans in the amount of more than 1.4 trillion rubles.
According to the Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia for the Central Federal District, 1.4 trillion rubles of consumer loans were issued in the Moscow Region in 2023, which is 33.8% more than in the same period last year.
So, in December 2023, Russian banks provided borrowers in the Moscow Region with consumer loans in the amount of 122.4 billion rubles, which is 13.2% more than in December 2022. The weighted average rate on consumer loans in the Moscow Region for all terms increased by 1.6 percentage points to 19.1%.
The total banking portfolio of consumer loans in the region in December 2023 decreased by 27.4 billion rubles or 2.3% to 1.2 trillion rubles compared to the previous month. Over the year, the portfolio in the region increased by 16.1%.
Loans in the amount of 11.7 billion rubles were issued in the segment of car loans in the Moscow Region in December 2023, which is 2.5% higher than the previous month.
As for October the 1st of 2023, consumer loans in the Moscow Region were restructured in the framework of 106-Fl by 48.5 billion rubles, which is 4.1% of the total debt.
