In order to control the detention of entrepreneurs suspected (accused) of committing crimes in the field of economics, a representative of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region as part of a Public Monitoring Commission headed by Sergei Leonov visited the Federal Penitentiary Institution "Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1" of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Moscow Region, located in Bogoroditsky city district.

The joint visit took place within the framework of an Agreement on cooperation between the Public Supervisory Commission of the Moscow Region and the Business Ombudsman. The participants of the trip got acquainted with the conditions of detention of the accused and suspects in the pre-trial detention center. In addition to the inspection of the cells and premises of the pre-trial detention center, individual interviews were conducted on personal appeals received by the ONK commission. According to the results of the inspection, b were no signs of violations of Article 21 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation dated 07/15/1995 No. 103-FZ "On the detention of suspects and accused of committing crimes".
