Vladimir Golovnev: Innovations in legislation will have a positive impact on farmers of the Moscow Region.

In 2021, farmers got the opportunity to engage in rural tourism. But they did not have the right to host tourists. The legislative changes introduced will give farmers the right to provide services in the field of rural tourism, including accommodation for travelers in residential buildings that are part of the property of a farm on agricultural land. The law, in particular, will allow farmers to engage in non-agribusiness-related activities that ensure sustainable rural development.
- The Moscow Region is an agricultural region with a large number of entrepreneurs engaged in farming. These are very active people, and many of them plan to develop a tourist destination and open eco-farms. The innovation in federal legislation will expand the list of services provided by farmers, create new jobs in remote areas, and open up new opportunities for small and medium-sized agribusiness, the Business Ombudsman said.
