Entrepreneurs from the Moscow region will be explained how to protect themselves from phone scams.
Educational webinar "Telephone fraud. How to protect yourself and your money" will be held on October 10, 2024 at 11:00 on the initiative of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow region, Vladimir Golovnev.
The holding of the online conference is due to the increased incidence of telephone fraud with embezzlement of funds. The attackers take advantage of financial illiteracy and credulity of citizens, convincing them to take out loans and transfer their savings to "safe accounts".
The webinar will be conducted by Veronika Polyakova, a lawyer specializing in economic crimes and criminal defense at Sed Lex.
The following issues will be raised:
New types of fraud. How to protect yourself and your money from scammers? How to behave if they make phone calls and introduce themselves to law enforcement agencies, employees of banks and mobile operators? What should I do if fraudsters have issued a loan to you, have taken possession of property? Is it possible to return it and how to do it?
